Training Supports


Orientation for Foster and Adoptive Parents—covers information regarding the foster parent licensing and adoptive parent approval process.

Pre-service Training—designed to help prepare foster, kinship care, and adoptive parents for helping to support children and their families and to facilitate family reunification when possible.

Recertification Training—approved for re-licensing credit, includes a variety of topics that reinforce and impart foster, kinship care and adoptive parents with the skills and techniques necessary for maintaining safety, stability and well-being for the children and families they serve.

Learning Management System—approved for re-licensing credit, the LMS can be accessed 24 hours a day @

Annual Conference—approved for re-licensing credit, offers foster, kinship care and adoptive parents opportunities to learn , network, and celebrate our accomplishments together.


Child and Family Supports


Pack a Sack provides youth in foster care with needed items while away at college. Scholarships—awarded at the Annual Conference each year, scholarships can be used for any aca-

demic or training program that helps youth In foster care meet his or her goals.

Teen Recognition—high school teens in foster care with a 2.0 or better GPA and who are involved in school, community or church activities can be recognized.

Laptop Bundle—qualified youth in foster care can receive a laptop with printer and other needed acces- sories.

Smart Fun. Strong Kids.—provides children and youth in foster care with the same opportunity as their peers to engage in a variety of educational and confidence building activities.

Kids Make Music—helps children and youth in foster care get portable musical instruments and have music-related learning experiences that stay with them wherever they go.

On The Road Again—provides donated cars to youth in foster care so they can pursue their goals of continuing education and employment, allowing for a more successful transition to adulthood.
